Jericho Cable Car (Pass By)

During this tour, we won't be making a stop at the Cable Car or Mount of Temptation. Instead, we'll enjoy a scenic view of these attractions from the old city of Jericho. This adjustment was made based on feedback we've received over the past few years, taking into account concerns about the closure of the monastery, the limited options available in the area, including an expensive restaurant, costly shopping, potential tourist traps, and the fact that it costs 60 shekels to go up the mountain.6

Zaccheus' Tree

Zaccheus is one of the most famous and colorful characters in the Gospels, even though he only appears in Luke’s account (19:1-10). In Jericho today, there is a large, old sycamore tree that stands at a major intersection in town.
